The Butter Dress Melted

A long time ago (about a decade) at an Art Auction and Gala, I wore this Catherine Malandrino dress. One of the artists at the annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival added the necklace.

A few weeks later, my girlfriend borrowed it for a dinner party. The gentleman sitting to her left, said, “Oh, that dress looks like butter.”

This afternoon, I stopped at TJ Maxx to pick up tights (they were out). Since it is Chinese New Year, I had to buy something. So, I purchased these fabulous burgundy slippers.

It is essential to wear new clothes, preferably red, for Chinese New Year.

Well, the butter melted. I melted, too. My arms don’t look like they did and my wrinkles are starting to sag.

Turns out, the slippers I’m wearing to ring in the Year of the Rooster,  were also designed by Catherine Malandrino.

Look how far we’ve come?
