Passwords, What’s the Secret?

MOM:  Do you want to know the code for the garage door?

ME:  Only if you want me to have it.

MOM:  Well, it my difficult to remember.

ME:  What is it?

MOM:  _ _ _ _

ME:  What does that mean?

MOM:  Before you daddy died, he came up with a password for all of our accounts.  I still use it.

ME:  _ _ _ _?

My brain starting churning. I thought of all the possible combinations related to birthdates.

ME:  Dwight always used my birthday. In fact, after he moved in with Betty, he called to ask, “Is it okay that I just set up your birthday as my new password?”

MOM:  I think your daddy just chose numbers.

ME:  That doesn’t make sense. It makes sense to use the last four numbers of your phone number, or your address. . .

I looked at my keypad to see what the numbers could spell.  Nothing.

Did my dad just randomly choose numbers that were easy to key in, or is there a mystery?
