Mom-versations about Morning

imagejpeg_0.jpg

Just after this photo was taken, mom and I left the bridal shower. In the car, mom rolled down the window of my Honda Element and called to my cousin, her dear niece.

MOM:  Lynn, honey, are you going to the cemetery tomorrow?

LYNN:  Yes. (Patiently.) Remember we talked about it earlier today.

MOM:  Oh, yes.  But, what time are you going?

LYNN:  Early.  And, by early, that means before noon.

ME:  Excellent.  I’ll pick you up at 7:00 tomorrow morning, mom.

MOM:  Oh, no you won’t. Not unless you want to carry me.  I’ll still be asleep.

ME:  What time do you wake up?

MOM:  I set my alarm for 10:00.
