Mom got a brand new knee on Monday. She is officially the BIONIC MOMMA.  The MOM-versations on her MEDICATION rock.

The day she left the hospital, I took the day off (personal day) to move her. When I arrived, she was with her physical therapist.  Right after I stepped in the room, cousin Lynn arrived.

Mom wanted to introduce us to her physical therapist.

MOM:  This is my daughter, Julie. She has an artificial knee.

ME:  No, I don’t.

MOM: Oh, this is my dear niece, Lynn.  She has an artificial knee.

LYNN:  Not yet. I have an ankle replacement.

ME:  I just have artificial breasts.

MOM: Oh, Julie!

PHYSICAL THERAPIST:  This might be a good time for me to leave. (PT backs toward the door.)

ME:  You knew.

MOM:  I suspected.
