Questions from Under the Covers

Questions from Under the Covers

For years, I prided myself on never taking a sick day. What I didn’t realize was that, even though I tried not to breathe on students or colleagues, I was spreading my nasty germs.

Now, recognizing the effect stress has on my immune system, I’m home today. For four days, I have been sniffling, coughing, and filled with the chills. Plus, I’m exhausted!

So, I wonder . . .

Why don’t my dogs catch this cold?

Can dogs get pink eye?

Do I have the energy to get out of bed and turn up the heat?

Will a shower make me feel better?

Is Nana right? If a fever is less than 101, is it friendly?

Do the dogs know that I’m sick?

Why am I so tired?

Why don’t I want to drink coffee when I’m sick?
