Grit, Determination, Encouragement and Friends

18 May 2014

One of the most fun fundraisers in town is a 38-mile relay race. This year, I chose to run 3.14 miles from the middle to school to the top of the Utah Olympic Park.

I didn’t stop. I ran the whole way.

The last few months have been difficult.

Running up that hill was my way of putting the past behind me, moving forward, and regaining my self, my soul, my personality, and my being.

With grit, determination, encouragement and a good friend, I ran 3.14 miles uphill in 33 minutes and 33 seconds.

I just put my head down and ran.   I kept moving forward. That’s what you have to do.
