The Present Moment with Timmy

22 July 2013

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.  – Buddha

Watching Timmy (left) sit in the garden with Booker (right), I can hear him say, like Buddha, “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”

Timmy spent most of his life living with a veteran who suffered with PTSD.  Timmy’s veteran described PTSD as “an illness that rudely takes one out of the moment into a painful past.  Anything that helps keep one in the present or helps bring one back to the present when in a dark place is of great help.”
